Question No 13 by Marco Cappato
Subject: Democracy and human rights in Iran
Seven years after the Iranian regime tried to convince the Iranians and the international community that it was open to change and to democratisation, it is now clear
to all the observers, and to the Iranian people first and foremost
that nothing has changed for the better and no improvement in the human rights situation or the democratic rights has taken place.
Does the Council support an internationally monitored referendum on the establishment of a democratic regime in Iran?
