Making investment in Europe more attractive requires the implementation of measures and reforms at both European and national level. To make investing and working in Europe more attractive, it is crucial to create a level playing field for companies. Developing the internal market has to be one of the EU’s main priorities for developing a favourable climate that encourages companies and consumers. This is particularly important in a globalised economy, where businesses have some flexibility in choosing where to operate. The regulatory environment needs to be further improved, to enable businesses in Europe to enhance their competitiveness and their ability to grow and create jobs.
